Dr. Keith A. Yount graduated from the UNC Chapel Hill Dental School in 1979 and completed an Academy of General Dentistry fellowship in 1985. While in private practice in NC, he was often perplexed by cases involving chronic facial pain.
When his wife began to experience chronic daily headaches, Dr. Yount became even more committed to finding solutions that would help people suffering from chronic pain of the head and neck area. This pursuit led him to the Parker E. Mahan Facial Pain Center at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida where he began a two-year fellowship in orofacial pain. His time there included rotations through ENT, Anesthesiology, Psychology, Pharmacology and Oral Medicine, Oral Surgery and Physical Therapy. He successfully completed the educational and clinical requirements to earn the title "Diplomate of the American Board of Orofacial Pain."
In 1997, Dr. Yount moved to Raleigh, NC and established a practice dedicated to orofacial pain, which is dedicated to caring for patients with chronic muscle or joint pain, or dysfunction of the trigeminal system.

With 20 years of medical experience with progressive positions in direct patient care, office and practice management, medical education program management, and business administration, she is qualified to handle your questions and concerns with regard to scheduling, coordination with your Wellness Team, insurance reimbursements, and medical records.
Phyllis manages and coordinates the staff and accounting. Her role in management is backed by over 30 years of medical experience.
